The freshness of the morning light,
towers above our spirits like today’s gift.
It is precious to my heart
because it means that I am alive for today
and breathing.
That is a gift. A gift given to me by the Creator
of the Universe.
I always smile when I hear how man has
discovered a new thing or a new way;
a galaxy never seen before by human eyes.
If they would but close their eyes and ask
the Creator of the Universe
He would gift them with a new sight,
and a new way to see.
They could split atoms with their spirit,
and walk ancient paths that some humans
already gifted with that sight
have already seen.
They miss the wonder of it all
because of their explanations
and their way of thinking everything has one.
Some things you cannot explain
you just sit in the glory and majesty of it all.
You become a person of insight.
A person who realizes that when you see
the day break
and the night shift
that it is a gift.
You get to walk in your physical body
once again. You get to come back from the
walk about and praise God in this sense
today and breath.

I am a strong believer in service work, and my heart is for people in different phases of 'recovery' whether that is from addiction or from life in general. Did I mention that I also like my 'alone' time? I am pretty reclusive at times. It's mostly so I can have time to build my relationship with my Jesus. Psssssssssst.....He can be your Jesus too! :)

Have you ever woke up in the morning and just knew that the world had somehow shifted? Have you ever had the feeling that something wasn't quite right when you went to bed, but you prayed and then everything just seemed clear in the morning?
That's what this poem is about. It's about having a walk about the Universe with God while you're sleeping. I ask God every night to 'set his guard' about me that I might join him in a wondrous journey in my spirit. My day begins when I lay down to go to sleep, and I am halfway through my 24 hours when I wake up to go to work. Sounds counter-intuitive, but the night season is when most are unaware of the spiritual realm.
There are powers and principalities around us that we just can't 'see' with human eyes. I ask to see with God's eyes, and to feel, reason and understand with his heart.
I have experienced many things in my life, but this is one of the best experiences ever! Just to know that I am loved, and to the depth, breadth and height of it all….I just want more of Jesus!
